Lisa Marotta, Ph.D. – Clinical Psychologist, Author
Talk: Crucial Conversations: How to Manage the Tough Talks in Life with Heart and Logic
I am a Clinical/School Psychologist with over 25 years of experience working with women, children, and families in the Oklahoma Metro area. In 2019 I launched a solo practice in North Edmond, with Wednesdays dedicated to Animal Assisted Therapy with my companion Dude the Portuguese Water Dog. The office is conveniently located for clients to come early to reflect in a private waiting room space, and/or bring their sneakers to take an after session walk through Mitch Park when the weather is permitting.
My training is in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy from Hofstra University in New York. For the past 14 years I have incorporated mindfulness into my clinical practice through continuing education in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Each client receives treatment uniquely tailored to his/her circumstances, and I am always happy to teach evidence-based techniques to use at home. She is also the author of the children’s book, “Suki and Sam” which will be available at the book signing at the happy hour after the conference.
